Arkady Dvorkovich visits St Petersburg

Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich has attended the opening ceremony of the St Petersburg State Mining University's dormitory.

Together with Rector Vladimir Litvinenko and St Petersburg Vice Governor Vasily Kichezhdi, Mr Dvorkovich visited the dorm rooms to inspect the quality of construction. The delegation also visited the university, where Mr Litvinenko showed Mr Dvorkovich the laboratories and the museum and its unique exhibits.

The deputy prime minister also visited the Karpinsky All-Russian Institute of Geological Research. Mr Dvorkovich was accompanied by Oleg Petrov, the institute's rector, and Alexander Popov, the head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Usage.

Together with Dmitry Burenin, the head of St Petersburg’s Committee for Transport Infrastructure Development, Mr Dvorkovich also inspected the construction of the transport facilities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
