Novgorod’s Greenhouses were established in 2008 under the regional targeted programme on the development of the Novgorod Region’s agro-industrial complex in 2008-2010.

The first stage of the complex was put into operation last autumn. It occupies an area of 6.17 hectares. Glass greenhouses are equipped with drip watering, evaporation moistening and micro-climate control systems, as well as additional electric lights. The project provides for the stage-by-stage commissioning of the complex by 2015.
