Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a list of instructions after the November 20, 2012 meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Economic Modernisation and Innovation Development in the city of Novovoronezh in the Voronezh Region.

1. The Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation (Sergei Kiriyenko), the Ministry of Economic Development (Andrei Belousov) and the Ministry of Finance (Anton Siluanov), in cooperation with the concerned federal executive agencies, shall study the issue of an innovation project to create a joint experimental-demonstration complex with a station-level nuclear cycle under the Federal Targeted Programme Next-Generation Nuclear Technology for 2010-2015 and up to 2020, without increasing federal budget allocations for this programme.

Deadline: April 1, 2013.

2. The Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation (Sergei Kiriyenko) and the Ministry of Defence (Sergei Shoigu), in cooperation with the concerned federal executive agencies, shall submit proposals to improve the system for monitoring radioactive materials and the prevention of illegal sales and purchases.
