List of instructions issued by Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting with the winners of international Olympiads on general subjects

The following instructions were issued after the meeting held on November 2, 2012.

1. The Ministry of Education and Science (Dmitry Livanov)

Study the issue of the timing and duration of orientation camps for the preparation of Russian national teams to take part in international Olympiads on general subjects (hereinafter “international Olympiads”).

Encourage education workers, including the coaches of national Russian teams whose pupils have won top or other prizes at international Olympiads. Submit proposals on creating conditions for attracting foreign citizens who have won top and other prizes at international Olympiads to study at Russian higher education institutions.

The results are to be reported to the Government by March 1, 2013.

2. Ministry of Finance (Anton Siluanov)

Jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science and Lomonosov Moscow State University make provision for allocations from the federal budget to finance the organisation and holding of the International Chemistry Olympiad for school pupils in Russia in 2013.

3. Ministry of Education and Science (Dmitry Livanov)

Jointly with the federal executive bodies and organisations concerned ensure the preparation and holding of the International Geography Olympiad in Russia in 2015.

Jointly with the Ministry of Telecommunications and other federal executive bodies and organisations concerned ensure the preparation and holding of the International Informatics Olympiad in Russia in 2016.

Progress on the preparations should be reported to the Government each year from December 2013.
