Olga Golodets to complete her working visit in France

Participants:

During her February 15-16 visit, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets met with the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Affairs, Michel Sapin, in Paris. At the meeting an agreement was reached on the need to unify the professional standards of both countries in order to simplify the process of skilled personnel exchange. Demand for French specialists at Renault-AvtoVAZ and for civil aviation was discussed. As mentioned at the meeting, French pilots face problems with job placement, whereas in Russia there is a lack of specialists. Drafting a unified professional standard in this or similar situations could help improve an unbalanced labour market. At the meeting Mr Sapin supported Olga Golodets’ initiative to discuss the possible coordination of standards for high-demand professions as part of the G20 dialogue.

During her visit, the Deputy Prime Minister spoke before French and Russian students and teachers during the Salon de l'Etudiant. Ms Golodets talked about the career prospects for high skilled specialists in Russia. The Russian Deputy Prime Minister also visited lyceums and a kindergarten in Paris to review the French experience in preschool, primary and secondary education.
