Dmitry Medvedev visits the Biathlon Academy regional sports centre during a working trip to Krasnoyarsk
The Prime Minister inspected the biathlon track where young athletes were preparing for the start. A winter sports complex is under construction in Krasnoyarsk, which is likely to host the Winter Universiade in 2019. The complex will host skiing, biathlon, freestyle, mogul skiing and ski jumping.
During his inspection of the track and the shooting gallery where the women's national biathlon team was training, Dmitry Medvedev spoke with its members. Claude-Louis Gallien, President of the International University Sports Federation, FISU, joined in the conversation. He is reviewing the Krasnoyarsk Territory's plans for preparations for the Universiade.
During the inspection of the track, one of the biathletes asked the Prime Minister for his watch, which Mr Medvedev presented him as a gift.
After that, Dmitry Medvedev and Claude-Louis Gallien visited the academy's medical and rehabilitation facility.
At the end of the visit, Dmitry Medvedev and Claude-Louis Gallien discussed the development of student sport in Russia and preparation activities for the 2019 Universiade.
