At the meeting, Mr Kozak said that large scale events, including at educational institutions, are necessary in order to instill tolerance in the younger generation. 

Kozak said that efforts are needed to create equality in the level of citizens’ social and economic rights equal across all Russia’s regions, considering the country’s geography and the population’s ethnic composition. This should be done to reduce migration flows and to create proper conditions to maintain people in their native homes, he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on approving a comprehensive plan of measures for social, economic and ethno-cultural development of the Romani ethnic community in Russia.
