Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who heads the Government Military and Industrial Commission, reported on the execution of the state defence order in 2012 during Government Hour at the Federation Council.

After issuing his report, Mr Rogozin spoke with journalists. He said that the Molot machine-engineering plant in Vyatskiye Polyany could be incorporated into the Kalashnikov small arms concern, which is being established through the merger of the Izhmash and Izhmekh enterprises. The negotiations will touch upon the issue of developing a unified small arms production line, he said.

"Afterwards, integration is possible with several enterprises in Tula," Mr Rogozin said.
