Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Surkov chairs a meeting of the Organising Committee of the Moscow International Forum for Innovative Development “Open Innovations”

Members of the Organising Committee approved the agenda and business programme of the Forum.

Key speakers, including business-venture specialist Sir Richard Branson, renowned scientists Peter Head, Jeroen van den Hoven and Josh Lerner, and Nobel Prize winners Phillip Allen Sharp and Roger David Kornberg, were selected during the meeting. Other speakers due to address the Forum include more than 300 leading Russian and foreign experts on innovative development. Over 4,000 representatives of the business and academic communities as well as state administrators are expected to attend the Forum.

The programme of the Forum consists of more than 50 events, which reflect the most important aspects of innovative development, including the financing of R&D projects, the creation of an institutional environment, infrastructure creation, as well as short-term forecasts of global technological development.

The International Forum for Innovative Development “Open Innovations,” scheduled to be held in Moscow from October 31 until November 2, 2012, is organised by leading national development institutions, namely, the RUSNANO Corporation, the Russian Venture Company, the Skolkovo Foundation, Vneshekonombank, the Small Business Promotion Foundation and the Moscow Government, with the support of the Russian Government.
