During the meeting held by the Deputy Prime Minister on Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's instructions, representatives of the federal executive authorities considered proposals on modifying excise duty rates on oil products as a way of raising funds for road construction and maintenance.

The participants also discussed how to modify the tax on flammable natural gas production levied on both Gazprom and independent producers. As a result, the Ministry of Energy was instructed to further develop the participant's proposals within two days, taking into account the different options for rate changes put forward by the sides.
