Ban Ki-moon said he appreciated Russia's active participation in the talks and its supportive stance, adding that the conference would not have been possible without Russia's participation.

Ban Ki-moon also thanked Dmitry Medvedev for his support of the UN initiatives during his tenure as president and expressed hope that the constructive cooperation will continue.
