After the May Day demonstration Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin went to the Zhiguli Bar on Arbat Street.

At the counter they each took a tray and placed their orders. Medvedev ordered boiled potatoes with cod and Putin fried potatoes with lamb sausage. They both opted for the Zhigulovskoye unfiltered beer.

Accompanying the president and prime minister to the bar were the leader of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov, Chairman of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions Mikhail Nagaitsev, State Duma Deputy Viktor Pinsky from United Russia and Valery Trapeznikov from the All-Russian Popular Front. They were all invited to join the government leaders after the march.
