Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin meets with military scientists

Participants in the meeting discussed main trends and problems in the activities of the military research sector. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin urged heads of defence research institutes to step up coordination and adopt a system-wide approach to their tasks. "It is necessary to upgrade the methods for predicting and analysing the most probable scenarios of potential enemy actions and to determine the level of armaments required to enable the Russian armed forces to resolve their military tasks," Mr Rogozin said.

He also announced that the work on a draft law on establishing a prospective defence research fund has been completed and will be submitted to the State Duma in the near future.
