Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with members of the business community in Perm

Participants:
The Prime Minister said that the Perm Region economy was a cross-section of the whole Russian economy.

Vladimir Putin's opening remarks:

Good evening, colleagues and friends. We are not holding a formal conference here. While I am in Perm I just wanted to see you and have a chat. Let's say it's an exchange of information. I would like to hear your opinion on the state of the economy in general and on individual businesses; what problems you face, what positive things you see, how business is going, what your results are and what we need to do together to improve things here and in the economy. To some extent, the economy of the Perm Region is a cross-section of the Russian economy. You have everything: the agriculture industry, equipment manufacturing, the aircraft industry, engine manufacturing, the chemical industry, hydrocarbon mining and the deep processing of hydrocarbon resources. I understand that LUKOIL (they have a subsidiary here) is engaged in chemical cracking. I see that hefty investment is planned and serious work lies ahead. I understand you aim to produce Euro-5 petrol? In general I would like to hear your opinion and your assessments. Let's do it...

Remark: Clockwise.

Vladimir Putin: Clockwise or counterclockwise, it doesn't matter. Take turns. I would like to hear everyone. No generalities.
