Immediately after a meeting on the development of the North Caucasus Federal District, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the regional department of the Federal Security Service (FSB) in Gudermes and congratulated its employees on their professional holiday. Chechnya is "not an easy assignment," he noted.

Vladimir Putin remarked on the state of the building the department is located in, "Your building is not dilapidated but rather old – it's time to move to a new one." He was told that the department is planning to relocate to a new building next year.

"I have seen what beautiful and modern new houses you have here," Vladimir Putin said. "Your department should also have a respectable appearance."
