Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak chairs meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Preparation and Holding of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and the 11th Winter Paralympics in 2014 in Sochi

Nearly 23,000 specialists will be prepared for the Sochi Olympic Games, Dmitry Kozak said at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Preparation and Holding of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and 11th Winter Paralympics in 2014 in Sochi. The commission is affiliated with the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sport.

"Yesterday I signed the final policy document, the schedule for preparing the staff that will work during the Games. The document provides for the preparation of 23,000 personnel, and the 942 organisations that will be responsible for holding the Games. Federal agencies and the city's administration will see that this plan is carried out on schedule," Mr Kozak said.

The deputy prime minister reminded everyone that test competitions would be held in Sochi as soon as this winter. "This year, the mountain cluster will hold national and international competitions in a test mode. This will make it possible to check the quality of the sport facilities, and infrastructure. And to see personnel training standards," Dmitry Kozak noted. "We need efficiency from hundreds of organisations, state agencies, and business," he stressed.

The deputy prime minister added that the Krasnodar Territory has the responsibility to coordinate and implement all the plans and programmes. "Each contractor should operate efficiently," Dmitry Kozak concluded.
