Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has a telephone conversation with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart discussed the prospects of continuing to supply gas through the Western corridor given that one Turkish company has refused to extend the contract after it expires. The prime ministers emphasised the potential for resuming gas supply through another Turkish company.

The prime ministers discussed in detail the implementation of the Samsun-Ceyhan pipeline project and the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power station. Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan devoted special attention to the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline.

Vladimir Putin also expressed his condolences to Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the recent death of his mother.
