Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits the National Culture Institute, a branch of the Nikolai Ogarev State University of Mordovia

The prime minister visited an exhibition on the history, culture and the current stage of development of Mordovia. Nikolai Merkushkin, the head of the republic, told Putin about the principal construction and repair projects of the republic's capital, Saransk: the Republican Clinical Hospital, the National Library of Mordovia, a science park, the Opera and Ballet Theatre, and a football stadium, one of the venues of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Tatyana Sidorkina, Director of the National Culture Institute, invited Putin to an auditorium to see an ensemble rehearsing a traditional folk dance of Mordovia.

After viewing the exhibit, Putin spoke with students from the university.
