Prime Minister Putin meets with foreign investment bankers

The participants of the meeting discussed the Russian Direct Investment Fund and various aspects of the Russian investment climate.

Vladimir Putin told the investors about the situation in Russia and described the opportunities and advantages available to serious long-term investors on the Russian market.

The prime minister emphasised that Russia was interested in close cooperation and partnership with foreign companies and open to the discussion and implementation of large-scale investment projects. "The Russian government and our development institutions, including the newly established Direct Investment Fund, are willing to establish constructive relations with investors," prime minister said.

The meeting was attended by a group of international investors from Asia, the Middle East, the United States and Europe representing investment funds with a total capital of over 2 trillion dollars.
