Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits Vorobyovy Gory environmental and educational centre

Participants:

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin toured an exhibition at the Vorobyovy Gory environmental and educational centre designed to help kids and teenagers treat the environment responsibly. One of the most impressive modules is "My House -- My City," a mock run-of-the-mill flat that shows children how to save electricity, water and warmth, while duly utilising waste products and water resources.

Putin was accompanied by Oksana Klimanova, the centre's director. He even tried out a task on an interactive screen.

The prime minister also spoke with pupils at the centre.

As the tour winded down, the prime minister was shown a map of Russia made from satellite images. Using the map, visitors can trace environmental changes in major cities, such as Moscow, Bratsk and Magnitogorsk.
