The development of the banking system and the creation of an international financial centre in Russia were discussed.

During the talk the effectiveness of measures developed and implemented by the Government and the Central Bank in protecting the Russian banking system against the possible negative impact of the world financial crisis was noted.

The Prime Minister and the head of the VTB also discussed the interaction between the state and private structures in supporting Russian investments abroad.
