Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits Russia’s Gosfilmofond state film archive

The fund's Director General, Nikolai Borodachyov, told Prime Minister Putin about the history of the creation of Gosfilmofond, the world's third largest film archive, which can store 1.28 million standard video records [an average film consists of eight standard records].

Responding to Mr Putin's question, Mr Borodachyov said that there are currently 70,000 films, or 986,000 records, in the archive.

Prime Minister Putin also looked over the plans for new Gosfilmofond facilities, whose construction will be finished next year.
