The meeting participants discussed priority measures of state support of the companies in the industry amid the unstable financial markets.

In particular, they considered proposals aimed at stimulating domestic demand for timber products and at ensuring stable financing of priority projects in the sector.

They also decided to draw up a list of priority companies to be later included in the national list of strategically important enterprises in need of state support.

The participants in the meeting included heads of Russia's timber producing regions, representatives of industry groups and business leaders.
