During the meeting, President Medvedev said:

I would like to congratulate you all on your appointments. The Russian Government is formed and can embark on its duties. Each one of you now has a part to play. For some of you, this work will be new, for others, a familiar routine. There is a great deal of work ahead of you. We all know what to do. The country is facing many challenges. And I would like to wish every member of the Government success in their work.
