Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak discusses preparations for the winter season with regional leaders

Dmitry Kozak said he was worried that preparations for the autumn and winter season in some regions were not properly financed. According to the Ministry of Regional Development, the administrations of the Chechen Republic and the Samara Region have allocated only half of the requisite funds for this purpose, and funding is also insufficient in Chuvashia and the Bryansk, Magadan and Tula Regions.

Regional Development Minister Viktor Basargin, who attended the meeting, said the regions have sufficient funds for the purpose and reminded regional leaders that preparing for winter is now more important than other projects. He warned that explanations for a failure to prepare for the winter season due to a lack of funds would not be accepted.
