Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak chairs a meeting of the organising committee for the 11th International Investment Forum Sochi 2010

The International Investment Forum Sochi 2010 will be held in Sochi from September 16 through September 19, 2010. Over 3,000 people are expected to participate in it, including representatives of 52 Russian regions, 32 countries as well as leading Russian and international companies.

The organising committee approved the forum's programme, which will focus on improving the competitiveness of Russia's economy and the country's investment climate. The issues that will be discussed at the forum include areas of economic growth, streamlining procedures and lifting administrative barriers in the construction sector, migration policy and simplifying border and visa procedures, improving tax regulation and promoting energy efficiency.

The forum will also include an extended meeting of the Inter-agency Commission for Preparing and Holding the XXII Winter Olympic Games and the XI Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi in 2014 under the Presidential Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

The forum will also feature an extensive presentation of Russian regions and their investment potential.

The overall area of exhibition premises of the forum will be 16,300 square metres, that of the expositions - 11,200 square metres.
