Addressing the Council meeting, which discussed the Strategy of the Development of the Forestry Complex in the Period Until 2020, Mr Zubkov noted that the implementation of the strategy would see the production of timber and paper increase by 4.3 times, tax revenues by 5 times, labour productivity by 4.9 times, while the degree of timber conversion would increase from 49% to 78%. Mr Zubkov said that the export of processed wood would rise by between 1.5 and three times. On the whole, Mr Zubkov said, "the document is worth supporting."

He also said that private investors had prepared more than 200 projects to invest 1.15 trillion roubles in wood processing.
