“Russia is in favour of Kyrgyzstan becoming a member of the Customs Union, and this is our unwavering stance,” the Russian Prime Minister stressed during the meeting.

“The Iskander-M is clearly among the most effective weapons in its class, and we consider it to be much better than its foreign analogues.”

“On the whole, we can be quite happy with the development of trade and economic relations between us. These relations have been expanding recently, despite the problems in the global economy and the European economy, and we can expect our trade turnover to return to pre-crisis levels this year,” Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.

The main topic of conversation was the role of the medical community and other self-regulated professional communities. The prime minister emphasised that they can only be effective when they “have the right to put things in order” their respective spheres.

The prime minister said that the Russian Far East remains a priority of the government. Although the budget has been reviewed in view of the global financial situation, this will not affect the main elements of the Far East projects.

“Every permanent resident of the inundated communities must receive 160,000 roubles, including 100,000 from the federal budget and 60,000 from the territorial budget, regardless of the extent of property losses incurred…”

“I am glad that we have met, because each such meeting advances the Russian-Spanish dialogue and cooperation,” Dmitry Medvedev told King Juan Carlos I of Spain.

“Today, Russian-Belarusian cooperation in all areas is very meaningful, open and effective,” the Russian prime minister said.

The Russian prime minister said that this was his first meeting as chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.
