“In addition to our previous decisions on assistance for people affected by the disaster, we have drafted two more government resolutions on the allocation of federal budget subsidies worth 4.1 billion roubles and up to 320 million roubles for the budget of the Krasnodar Territory.”

"This year up to 14 billion roubles of additional money will be allocated to support agriculture. These are decisions that I have already taken, and are related to the overall context of Russia joining the World Trade Organisation, as well as specific support measures related to problems that have arisen in a number of regions."

The discussion centred on rural problems caused by the drought and the land improvement programme in the region. The prime minister emphasised the need to support people during bad harvests.
