In each of you films, you delve deeply into the psychology of your characters, who reflect the spirit of the time in which they live and the problem of choice and responsibility. It is not surprising therefore that your films are considered classics of Soviet and Russian cinema.
Many of your films, such as Peace to Him Who Enters, The Flight, Tehran-43 and The Legend of Till Eulenspiegel, earned you prizes at prestigious film festivals.
