The message reads, in part:
“The Russian Internet segment occupies stable positions in the global ranking of national domains, and its economy is steadily growing.
“It is important that Runet provides access to informational, educational and commercial Internet resources, and helps improve the efficiency of public administration at all levels.
“Today the infrastructure for “direct democracy” is developing in Runet. People can express their opinions on important issues related to the modern development of Russia, take part in discussions of policy documents and monitor the performance of government agencies. What matters now is that people learn how to make full use of these new tools.
My congratulations to the winners of these well-deserved Runet Awards.”
