The message reads, in part:

“Eid al-Adha is freely and widely celebrated in numerous mosques, prayer houses and families all over Russia. And this strengthens the traditions of Islam, enriches the culture of Russia’s nations and serves to expand dialogue between congregations and inter-ethnic accord.

“The state will continue to provide the required assistance to Muslim spiritual boards and Muslim communities in organising Hajj pilgrimages and celebrations.

“May the holy and sacred Eid al-Adha give you added strength and bring you success and good luck in all your endeavours. I wish you, your families and all worshippers good health, happiness and prosperity.”
