The message reads, in part:
"Since its inception, the Federal Customs Service has been protecting state interests. The country's economic security, accumulation of federal budget revenues and increasing cooperation ties with foreign partners directly depend on the competence, responsibility and principled attitude of customs officials.
"Today, the department must work actively to introduce modern online document management systems and declarations of goods, equip checkpoints with state-of-the-art technology and train skilled specialists.
"Now that the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space have started operating, we must focus on improving legislation and strengthening cooperation with our colleagues from Belarus and Kazakhstan."
