Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of the New Economy: New Approaches international economic conference, held in Ulan-Ude as part of the Baikal International Economic Forum 2012.
The message reads, in part:
“You will discuss ambitious investment projects focused on the modernisation of transport and energy infrastructures in Siberia and the Far East, and complex development of natural resources in these regions.”
“The efficient implementation of these projects will boost Russia’s economic potential and consolidate its positions on the global arena as a reliable partner open to long-term and mutually beneficial relations.”
“I am confident that the proposals and recommendations worked out during the conference will be applied in practice, facilitate the development of the regional economy, create a favourable business climate, improve living standards and deepen cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Region’s countries.”
