Government Commission on Preventing and Eliminating Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety

The Commission is a body set up to coordinate the efforts of bodies of executive authority, state and other organisations in implementing state policy on the prevention and relief of natural and man-induced emergencies and on fire safety. 

The Commission has the following responsibilities:

• to make suggestions on state policy on emergency prevention, emergency relief and fire safety;

• to coordinate the activities of the country's unified system of emergency prevention and relief;

• to coordinate efforts of federal bodies of executive authority in emergency prevention and relief and fire safety, as well as in restoring old or building new housing, public utilities, social amenities, production and engineering infrastructure damaged or destroyed as a result of an emergency situation;

• other objectives in emergency prevention and relief and fire safety.
