Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits the victims of the Domodedovo airport terrorist attack at the Vishnevsky Surgery Institute

 
 
 

The prime minister, accompanied by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development Tatyana Golikova and the Vishnevsky Institute’s head physician Valery Kubyshkin, visits victims of the Moscow airport terrorist attack.

The prime minister, accompanied by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development Tatyana Golikova and the Institute’s head physician Valery Kubyshkin, went to the ward to visit Anton Malashkin and Alexander Karlov.

Vladimir Putin asked about the patient’s injuries. “The abdominal wall is injured – fragmentation wounds,” the head physician said. “All the patients that we received yesterday were in shock.”

“How much time will it take for them to recover?” asked the prime minister.

Mr Kubyshkin answered that one of them will need two weeks, the other one more time. He added that the institute received five victims from the yesterday's terrorist attack.

“Get well,” said the prime minister to the patients. “Were you meeting someone at the airport?”

 “Yes, relatives,” answered Malashkin.

On his way out Vladimir Putin asked whether the hospital had the necessary tools. Mr Kubyshkin assured him that they had everything necessary.
