Born on July 30, 1954 in Tashkent.
1977: graduated from the Moscow Energy Institute.
1977-1982: held various engineering posts at USSR Ministry of Special Engineering plants.
1982: transferred to the USSR Ministry of Special Engineering.
1987-1992: held various management posts in the USSR State Planning Committee, the USSR Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Russian Federation.
1992: on the staff of the Government of the Russian Federation, holding various posts from an expert specialist to Deputy Head of the Defence Industry Department.
2002-2004: First Deputy Minister of Nuclear Energy of the Russian Federation.
2004-2006: Head of the Defence Industry and High Technologies Department of the Government of the Russian Federation.
May 10, 2006: appointed Chief of Staff of the Military Industrial Commission under the Government of the Russian Federation - Deputy Chief of the Government Staff.
State awards: the Order of Honour and various medals.
Senior State Counsellor of the Russian Federation, 1st Class, Merited Machine Builder of the Russian Federation, a winner of the Russian Federation Government Prize for Science and Technology.
Married, with a son.
