Prime Minister Vladimir Putin monitors the situation following the blasts in the Moscow metro

"At present, the Prime Minister is receiving regular detailed reports from the police and social services on the progress of rescue and relief works provided to the victims," said Dmitry Peskov, Mr Putin's press secretary.
