Following the discussion at the meeting, the sub-commission members approved a proposal to introduce a three-year 19.4% customs duty on bearing pipes imported from China as means of preventing price dumping.
Members of the sub-commission also proposed raising the euro component of the complex customs duty rate on processed cheese from €0.3 to €0.5 per kilogram to support domestic producers, with the ad valorem component remaining at 15% of the customs value.
Following a review of the government's decisions to raise or maintain previously increased import duties in 2009 and their effect on markets, the sub-commission upheld the current import duties on both new and used trucks and buses. Viktor Zubkov also instructed the sub-commission to consider changes to customs duties on grain and forage harvesters.
