Mr Zubkov was presented with an honorary degree from MEPhI for his assistance in establishing the Institute of Financial and Economic Security at MEPhI.
The Institute of Financial and Economic Security was established in 2005 at the initiative of Mr Zubkov, who was at that time the Head of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring. The institute provides instruction on comprehensive financial, economic and information security.
There are currently 136 students from Russia and other CIS countries at the institute.
"Alumni from this institute are successfully employed in various areas of the economy and in government bodies, including the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring. The pertinence of this training is another testimony to the high quality of a MEPhI education and its compliance with the requirements of the contemporary financial and economic architecture," said the First Deputy Prime Minister during his speech at the academic council ceremony.
During his visit to MEPhI, Zubkov met with students and graduates from the Institute of Financial and Economic Security.
