Mr Sobyanin said that this work was being done as part of the national programme on fighting corruption. "The entire range of active laws should be subjected to a rigorous anti-corruption expertise," Mr Sobyanin said.
Another important package of draft laws is aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses, eliminating administrative barriers, and promoting competition.
Mr Sobyanin said that the Government would need to make serious efforts to implement the concept of long-term development through 2020 and the main directions for Government policy through 2012. "It will be a precise list of Government practical activities and an indicator of the Government's efficiency," he said. He added that essentially this was a plan for promising large-scale projects to ensure innovational transformation of the country's economy.
"In the near future, the Government will draw up a list of measures aimed at increasing housing construction and will adopt draft urban planning regulations," Mr Sobyanin said. "The draft will then be finalised within a period of one and a half to two months and submitted to the Duma," he said.
Overall, Mr Sobyanin was satisfied with effective cooperation between the Government and the Parliament.
