Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a directive approving the sale by Rosneftegas of 600 million shares of Rosneft, 5.66% of its authorised share capital, to BP Plc or any subsidiary or affiliate thereof appointed as the buyer for this transaction, the Prime Minister's Press Secretary Natalya Timakova told the press. The price of the shares will not be below the current market value of the stock, based on a report by independent evaluators.
