At the beginning of the trilateral meeting, Dmitry Medvedev expressed confidence that the Customs Union member states will be able to find a mutually acceptable solution for introducing a disposal tax on imported second-hand cars. "We have held all the necessary talks. We are aware of the delicacy of the issue in the context of Russia's admission to the WTO. On the other hand, we should help protect our markets and our roads from outdated automobiles. I am confident we will be able to find a mutually acceptable solution," the prime minister said.
Among the other issues to be discussed Mr Medvedev mentioned developing industrial cooperation within the Customs Union, reforming the Eurasian Economic Community, and establishing a unified container transport company.
