During an inspection of the workshops, Dmitry Medvedev spoke briefly with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev over the phone.
The prime ministers then proceeded along their tour of the workshops. They stopped at stands exhibiting the Power Machines company profile and its supply geography. The prime ministers learned about the equipment produced in the workshops and the scale of their deliveries.
The equipment produced and delivered by Power Machines is used in 57 countries, including Kazakhstan and Belarus.
In Belarus, 56.1% of the installed capacity of thermal power plants is provided by Power Machines equipment. Further cooperation prospects include projects for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Belarus, new thermal power plants in Minsk and Grodno, as well as upgrades of the existing plants. Additionally, the Druzhba pipeline and closer cooperation with BelAZ are promising prospects.
Over half of facilities in Kazakhstan are also provided with equipment by Power Machines.
