"We are pleased to note the positive dynamics in bilateral trade between our countries. Last year Russian-Moroccan trade grew by 1.9 times to $2 billion. We should work to maintain and increase this tempo. The conditions are right for this," Viktor Zubkov said at the beginning of the meeting.
Viktor Zubkov and Saad-Eddine Al-Othmani discussed in detail the current state and prospects of Russian-Moroccan investment, trade and economic cooperation, including issues of cooperation in sea fishery and the possible participation of Russian companies in the project to build a comprehensive gas distribution network in Morocco.
During the meeting, Viktor Zubkov also confirmed Russia's readiness to hold the Days of Russian Culture in Morocco in the third quarter of 2012.
