During his visit to Klimovsk, Dmitry Rogozin examined the research institute's displays and samples of innovative combat outfits, arms and other military equipment for special forces units, and took part in a trial of new high precision small arms.
After the tour, the deputy prime minister chaired a meeting with representatives of the ministries and departments concerned, as well as with officers of several elite units of the Russian Armed Forces, where they discussed various options for mutual cooperation between all parties with a vested interest in the production of high-quality armaments: customers, developers, producers, and users.
In his speech, Rogozin stressed that the development of Russian weapons should run in parallel with munitions development. "This is a mandatory requirement," he said.
