After the discussion the Commission recommended to the Government to temporarily extend (for 9 months) the current regime of duty-free import of some goods into the Russian Federation.

It was decided to preserve the zero import duty on integral monolithic digital circuits, as well as linear polyethylene for the production of plastic wrap used in the food and other industries.

The Commission decided it was practicable to preserve a permanent duty-free regime for the import of civilian planes weighing more than 15,000 kg, but not more than 20,000 kg and seating up to 19 passengers.

The Commission also supported the proposal to retain until June 1, 2009 the zero import customs duty on tropical oils delivered in tanks. The decision on further application of the current regime of the import of the above-mentioned goods will be made with due account of the opinion of the federal executive bodies concerned.
