Participants in the meeting further reviewed the draft concept of the government migration policy submitted by the Federal Migration Service and the Expert Group on the Labour Market, Vocational Training and Migration Policy.
First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov emphasised at the meeting that the concept should become a comprehensive document that clearly defines all migration institutions. “It is important to individually discuss the issues of educational migration, regional migration policy, employment of highly qualified personnel and the efficiency of migration control.”
Participants in the meeting decided to submit the draft to the expert community to discuss at a number of seminars in the Higher School of Economics, and the relevant committees of the State Duma and the Federal Assembly.
