Friends, I would like to greet you here in Sochi and thank you for the attention you have paid to this shared project.
I hope you had time to see the construction of the infrastructure and the sports facilities. Mr Felli, Mr Killy, and I have just visited some of these facilities. We saw the houses being built for the local residents who are being relocated. This used to be a troubling issue, but now we see that the people are satisfied. To tell you the truth, many of them have never lived in such good conditions. We improved their living conditions, moved them to a neighbouring area, built entirely new homes that are modern and nice, and provided a whole community for them. Work has been successful in general, and we resolved the environmental issues that both the IOC president and the members of our coordination commission, in particular its head Mr Killy, pointed out many times. The work itself is proceeding on schedule, as you can see, and this is the most important thing for us to attend to.
Of course, there are some technological issues with the infrastructure. However, today we proved again that the Russian specialists and those international specialists involved are able to resolve these problems. International expert groups consisting of representatives from North American and European scientific organizations were set up specially to resolve some of these issues.
A good international team was built, and it is working efficiently. We checked in on it today.
