Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Stanislav Naumov delivered the keynote address at the conference, in which he discussed the progress in formulating the trade development strategy for Russia.
Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov also spoke at the conference, saying: "The strategy's main priority should be to create favourable conditions for meeting the population's needs for high-quality, affordable products."
Deputy Prime Minister Zubkov then instructed the appropriate agencies to finish their work on the strategy and release a draft for public discussion. The draft will be considered by a working group and the government of the Russian Federation.
